The Rustico is 4 miles from the main town of Grosseto, which
offers the archaeological and artistic museums of Maremma, an
aquarium and the astronomical observatory. Moreover, The Rustico
is only 3 miles from the beaches of Marina di Grosseto and its
new tourism port.

Also located close by is one of the pearls of Maremma;
Castiglione della Pescaia, with its historical castle, the
monastery of Saint Gerolamo and the Ximenes House, also known as
the Red House, which has been recently transformed into a
multi-medial museum.
Punta Ala, another renowned port is located not too far from
Castiglione della Pescaia.

Other places of interest are Vetulonia, famous for its ancient
Etruscan history and Buriano, one of the oldest hill-top towns
of Maremma. |

When heading north, you can find the urban centres of Follonica
and Massa Martiitma with museums and a Carapax Centre. |

going south, you can visit the territory of Argentario with
wonderful places like Porto Ercole and Porto Santo Stefano where
ferries depart for Giglio Island on a daily basis.
Moreover, there is Orbetello, located between two lagoons and
Capalbio with its Tarot Card Garden. |

Pitigliano, is famous for its walls and its beautiful historic
centre. Because of its quality wine, the Doc of Pitigliano has
been recognized internationally.
A visit to the bordering towns of Sovana and Sorano is also
recommended.

hot springs of Saturnia.

which offers various nature itineraries and excursions,
